Founding partner, sole director, and head of financial advisory services, provides guidance to private clients, groups, and professional investors on portfolio management, strategic and tactical asset allocation, and the selection of alternative investment funds.

Prior to establishing Averau Capital Partners, he advised independent European asset managers, investment funds, and family offices with aggregate assets under management exceeding €3 billion. Francesco possesses extensive experience in the banking and financial sector, cultivated over more than a decade of international professional activity across Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Malta.

In the domain of wealth engineering, he supports the Firm’s clients in structuring family governance, succession planning, and implementing asset-protection solutions.

He holds a Law degree from the University of Trieste and a Master’s in Wealth Management & Asset Management from Bologna Business School.

Mattia Mantovani

Partner & Head of Research

With over 15 years of experience in the asset management industry in Italy and the United States, he specializes in the development of advanced financial engineering solutions, quantitative analysis, and risk assessment. He has developed investment models and sophisticated financial analytics platforms, driving innovation in wealth management.

He has advised investment funds on quantitative analysis, investment model development, and risk management. Through a New York-based FinTech company, he has supported some of the world’s leading investment funds and banks.

He serves as Professor of Financial Analysis at the University of Bologna and Professor of Financial Risk Management at Bologna Business School. Graduating with honors in Finance, Intermediaries, and Markets, and completing an advanced program in Mathematical Finance at the University of Bologna, he is recognized for his unique combination of practical and academic expertise.

Matteo Lombardo, CFA

Partner & Senior Strategist

With over 25 years of experience in international banks and investment funds, primarily in London (Citigroup Asset Management, Lazard, and Lehman Brothers), he has advised institutional clients across a broad range of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternative strategies. He has also worked at a family office in Dubai (Orient Global) managing over USD 6 billion in assets.

He holds a degree in Political Economy from Bocconi University, a Master’s in Finance from London Business School, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Sandro Siragusa

Sandro began his career over 25 years ago in the financial institutions sector, serving as Managing Director for various organizations, most recently at UniCredit Bank AG as Head of Strategic Equity & Financing. Sandro is also Managing Partner at Sasir Capital and currently serves on the boards of several companies.

He holds a degree in Economics and Management from Bocconi University and has completed postgraduate specialized programs in Corporate Finance and Business Administration at SDA Bocconi School of Management and Mannheim Business School.
